Romance in Katmandu
Capital of Nepal, the mystical valley-Kathmandu is Nepal's biggest and most cosmopolitan city, a meeting place of a dozen ethnic groups, and the home town of the Newars. Nepal is a country of amazing extremes. From the world’s highest mountain to the forested plains, enchantment is everywhere. Terraced farmlands meticulously carved out of hill ridges and ascending into the sky like stairways to the clouds, cascading mountain rivulets and rushing rivers, forests full of wildlife, flowers and chirping of birds. Nepal provides something for everybody. The diversity of the mountain kingdom is magnified in it's capital Kathmandu, where ancient temples and palaces coexist with shining concrete and steel structures. The valley comprises three royal cities — Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur.
Why Kathmandu
The proximity of the city to all the Indian metros and the frequency of connections to Kathmandu are a great reason to visit the city. The weather is great throughout the year. The people are friendly and language is not a problem as English is widely spoken and Hindi is even more popular. The Indian rupee is legal in Kathmandu and is accepted in most commercial establishments, besides it's stronger than the Nepali rupee!
